CM Nitish Kumar Shocks Critics with Bold Moves: Mega Path Inauguration and AIIMS Standoff Unveiled!

On Monday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the second phase of the JP Ganga Path and the elevated section of Lohia Path Chakra in Patna. This new segment of the JP Ganga Path extends over 12.5km from Digha to Gai Ghat. During the event, the Chief Minister also evaluated the progress of the ongoing extension work, which aims to connect the path to Deedarganj. He issued instructions to the officials overseeing the project.

Regarding the controversy surrounding the proposed AIIMS at Darbhanga, Nitish Kumar clarified that the state government had identified the Shobhan bypass as the exclusive site for the facility. He pointed out that efforts were already underway to enhance the capacity of the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) to transform it into a 2500-bed medical center.

Nitish Kumar emphasized that the chosen AIIMS site was conveniently accessible to the public. He expressed confusion over the central government’s reluctance to approve the site despite its suitability. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to members of the media to visit and personally inspect the proposed location. He asserted that the state government was fully prepared to facilitate land acquisition and cooperate with the central government. Nitish Kumar also noted that significant progress could have been made if the Union government had initiated the project sooner.

Responding to queries about his potential candidacy in the elections from the Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, Nitish Kumar dismissed such speculations as unsubstantiated and insignificant.
